Day Date!!

Today Ryan and I officially took a time out!! We are currently in Wausau on a "day-date"!! This weekend was crazy busy. We haven't had more than ten minutes each day to talk to each other since last Thursday. Winter season can be a bit crazy around here! So, we are currently cozied in at Barnes and Nobles, drinking coffee, and reading books!! I can't think of anywhere else I would want to be...or with anyone else in the whole world!!

Winter Days!!

It has been CRAZY here...fun and crazy!! The girls have spent most of their time learning to ski...downhill, classic, and skate ski...you name it they are doing it. They have also been skating, snowshoeing, and tubing!! Maia turned eight on the 4th of January! Big birthday here at CFS, she can now officially roam around without a parent...Yeah for her...Yeah for me!! :) Ry has spent most weekends as a downhill and crosscountry ski instructor. He is lovin life here in the winter!! I have had no complaints of too much down time! I have been sharing in the outdoor fun, as well as working around camp. This past thursday we sent out our large youth mailing. A group of 32 people stuffed, sealed, and labeled 15800 envelopes in less than five hours!! WOW!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REISSNERS!!??!!

You have all probably given up on us by now and are wondering if we ever post on this silly blog at all! In ten words or less...this is what we HAVE been doing...teaching, learning, skiing, falling, writing, working, hosting, traveling, parenting, playing...there, I did it!! Yep, it has been crazy, and about ready to be crazier. Winter retreat season is going to kick into high gear as soon as we get back from Christmas break on the 26th. But, all that said, we are still LOVING IT!! Currently, we are at Heather's sister's house for an early Christmas celebration. On monday, we will head to Hayward to visit with the rest of the family. So far we have been blessed and have not been stuck in any of the bad travel conditions. However, the kids are LOVING their play time in the snow with their cousins!!...as you can see.
