WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REISSNERS!!??!!
You have all probably given up on us by now and are wondering if we ever post on this silly blog at all! In ten words or less...this is what we HAVE been doing...teaching, learning, skiing, falling, writing, working, hosting, traveling, parenting, playing...there, I did it!! Yep, it has been crazy, and about ready to be crazier. Winter retreat season is going to kick into high gear as soon as we get back from Christmas break on the 26th. But, all that said, we are still LOVING IT!! Currently, we are at Heather's sister's house for an early Christmas celebration. On monday, we will head to Hayward to visit with the rest of the family. So far we have been blessed and have not been stuck in any of the bad travel conditions. However, the kids are LOVING their play time in the snow with their cousins!!...as you can see.

Traveling Family!!
If you are following our blog at all...you have probably noticed we haven't made ANY posts in awhile! The last couple of weeks we have spent most of our time in a 15 passenger van!! Part of the LTD experience is checking out other major bible camps in the state of wisconsin. We have been to Fort Wilderness, Honeyrock, and Silver Birch...just to name a few!! It was so good to learn about other places and how God has His fingerprints on each and every one of them...and we had lots of fun along the way. Check out just a few of the pictures!

Home SWEET Home!!
God is good...as we all know...and He blessed us with a full weekend off. We took this time and traveled home to see our family and friends. It was Ryan's FIRST time home since we have been at CFS. It was so good for the soul! :) The girls were so excited to see their friends,Papa and Nana Puppy (Zoe kept saying how she smelled like "Papa" all weekend!), Granny Boots, Grama and Grampa Reissner, and of course all of our church family!! Sadly we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to...the weekend was so full of people we love...and of course...not enough time!!

On the solid rock...
Well, another first this week. Ryan and I went on a climbing trip with the LTD class, monday and tuesday. Poor Ryan was just chomping at the bit to get up on the bluff and climb, but couldn't because of his shoulder. I, on the other hand, stood back, fully intending NOT to get up there...well...the picture says it all!! I must say there is quite a parable between the solid rock that I was climbing and the one I was praying to while I was doing this!! :) But, did I ever have fun!! YEAH GOD!!
It's ASH-E-LEY!!
So...this past weekend we had a visitor!! Our friend Ashley...or as Maia and Zoe call her "Ash-e-ley"...came and spent the weekend with us. For those of you who don't know Ashley, she is one of our youth group "kids", who is now a second year student at UW-Eau Claire...Go Blue-Golds!! We had a lovely weekend. It was so good to get caught up and to show her this place that we love so much. Saturday, we spent part of the day walking around and taking LOTS of pictures...here are just a few!

Someone's in the kitchen with Heather....
Well today I found myself in familiar territory!! We had the "Golden Agers" retreat today...about 100 retired folkes who come in for the day to hear a message, sing some hymns, and EAT!! I was blessed enough to work in the camp kitchen and help prepare breakfast and dinner...to work at 6:30a.m....but I was done at 2:00!! It was great to put in a good morning's work...especially in an area I am familiar with!! And as you can see by the picture, I had plenty of good company!! Those are our great friends Herbie and Lisa...newly married for just over a week!!

Falling into Autumn...
Somehow we have already jumped into the end of September!! Yikes! Time is flying and we have been VERY busy. Just a couple of things to update you on...Ryan had surgery on his left shoulder on the 18th of September. Things went very well and he is on the road to a 4-6 wk recovery. Praise God for good surgeons and ice bags! :) Classes have started full force for the LTD program. Ryan is RE-discovering the joys of writing ten page papers and reading 228 page books!! :) It is great fun in the evening to watch Zoe, Maia, AND Ryan sit down and do their homework together. :) Ry's mom and dad came down for a visit during Maia's grandparent's day program. It was great seeing them and sharing with them all that we are doing here. The girls loved having Grammy and Grampa here to spoil them! :) Our fall retreat groups are in FULL swing. Praise God for all the wonderful people that are coming through camp this fall. It is really a blessing for us to be able to serve them and to get to know them as well. Oh,yeah...and Zoe is riding motorcycles now...just thought we would let you know!! :)

Retreat Season
Hello everyone. This weekend I hosted my first retreat at CFS. St. Thomas church from Neenah, WI brought 130 people here for a "fellowship retreat". I'm so thankful to God for showing me this is what His plan for my life is. It's been a long weekend, but God has sustained me through it. Tomorrow Heather and I are going on a three day canoe trip with the rest of the LTD students. Kerra Wilson ( our "other" daughter ) will be staying with Zoe and Maia while we're on the Flambeau River. By the way, the girls LOVE their new school! That is certainly an answer to prayers. Maia said this school is great because she can check out books from the library for three weeks instead of one. They are both adjusting well to the new surroundings. well, that's all for now. I'll update when we get back from our trip. Keep praying that God sill keep our family unified while my time with them is short. God bless.

Opening Day
Hurrah!!! Our blog is up and running. This is the first post to update all of you about what God is doing with us here at camp. I'm almost late for my first class this fall, so this is going to be short and sweet. Family Camp 7 just wrapped up. It feels like summer just got started, and now we face Labor Day already. The summer has flown by. Lots of kids got saved this year, over 249 initial dicisions for Christ!! Isn't that wonderful? God is so good to use us in spite of ourselves. I better go for now. I don't want to miss the first class. A lot of firsts this morning. God Bless
